Soda-fired porcelain vessel.
Thrown and trimmed, this piece has been bisque fired, sprayed with flashing slip, and then fired again in a soda kiln. Each piece is one of a kind due to the firing process where soda ash (sodium carbonate) is sprayed on the pottery during the firing to create a glaze and various unique effects each time.
Not watertight — decorative or for dry stems only.
